Our staff are committed to developing and enhancing programmes which focus on academic success and personal growth. An integral part of our drive to help our students succeed is the Literacy and Numeracy (Whakapiki Matauranga) programme.

High-tech computer classes and modern video-conferencing facilities continue to offer our students access to a wider variety of curriculum areas at all levels. STAR courses include vocational subjects such as Hairdressing, Catering, Fashion & First Aid.

Sports include netball, hockey, basketball, Touch & wakaama.

We offer many opportunities for young Maori women to excel in areas of leadership, performing arts and sport.  We also provide opportunities for our students to take part in international travel and exchange programmes.

Mana Maori, Mana Wairua, Mana Wahine & Mana Matauranga are the basis of life at Turakina Maori Girls’ College; a caring environment with Christian and Maori values.  Values that ensure the balance of traditional and modern technology.

Our roll is limited to 160 students.
